Dansko ESOP Update 06.26.2020

Dansko, We wanted to give you a brief update on our annual ESOP review.  Under normal circumstances, we would review the December 31, 2019 ESOP valuation at our June group meeting. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we are unable to gather all of us in the showroom, and perhaps more importantly, the individual 12/31/2019 ESOP participant statements have been delayed. We do expect to receive the final statements by the middle of July. Once that is confirmed, we will set up smaller group meetings to review the ESOP valuation, share participant statements, and discuss the anticipated impact of COVID-19 on the December 31, 2020 valuation. We will follow up as we get more information. Have a safe and fun weekend.

Dansko Update 06.19.2020

Dansko, Multiple news sources are reporting that Governor Tom Wolf is considering moving Chester County to the green status at the end of the month. While this is welcome news, please note that news sources and the Governor’s office note that green status is not a return to normal. “In the green phase, people still have to take precautions like wearing a mask to make sure that we don’t have new outbreaks,” Governor Wolf said in a statement. Furthermore, continued telework is strongly encouraged according to the Governor’s guidelines for green status. Dansko continues to take this situation seriously, with the health of our employees and the business as our primary concern.  We do not expect Dansko’s current status to change significantly with the initial transition of Chester County to green status. We will continue to monitor this situation and provide updates as appropriate. Dansko’s current campus status is as follows: •    Dansko distribution...

Dansko, Spring Sales Meeting: Yesterday afternoon, Dansko held its first virtual Sales Meeting with over 50 sales reps, international distributors, and internal staff participating from around the globe to preview the Spring 2021 product line. Day Two will be held on Tuesday, June 16 th .   Dansko Travel Policy: We need to remain vigilant in following through with best practices to mitigate coronavirus risk. Restrictions are being lifted, people want to move around and get back to something close to normal, but we have to continue to take the risk of infection seriously. Yesterday, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Chester County is the only county in Southeastern Pennsylvania to show an increase in new coronavirus cases in the latest two-week period. The Inquirer specifically noted Avondale, Kennett Square, and West Grove as the “three towns with the largest increases.”  And as a reminder, the travel policy below still remains in effect. TRAVEL POLIC...

Dansko Update 06.04.2020

Dansko   As you are aware, two of our fellow employees at the Distribution Center received positive test results for COVID-19 earlier this week. Both employees are currently quarantining at home, and both are doing well as of our recent conversations with them. Additionally, we have two other employees who self-reported that they are being tested and quarantining at home. While waiting for the test results, we are following the same process with these employees as we would for an employee that tests positive.     Dansko has followed the Centers for Disease Control guidelines and received guidance from the Chester County Health Department for best business practices. The key here is identifying employees who may have had close contact with the infected employees. Based on the CDC and CCHD guidelines- close contact is an exposure of more than 10 minutes within six feet of an employee that tested positive. Additionally, we confirmed the individuals were wearing facem...

Dansko Update 06.02.2020

Dansko learned on Monday, June 1, 2020, that one of our employees in the Distribution Center tested positive for COVID-19.  The employee was sent home immediately after we learned the employee had tested positive.  Consistent with the Centers for Disease Control guidelines and as reviewed with the Chester County Health Department, Dansko has: ·        Interviewed all employees who may have come in close contact with the sick employee (as described in the CDC guidelines as exposure of more than 10 minutes of within six feet) ·        Confirmed that there had not been exposure via “close contact” with any other employees; ·        Conducted a deep clean of the work area. Subsequently we learned this evening, Tuesday, June 2, 2020, that another employee tested positive and the same process will be used to determine what additional action is appropriate.  We are of course monit...
