Dansko Update 06.19.2020
Multiple news
sources are reporting that Governor Tom Wolf is considering moving Chester
County to the green status at the end of the month. While this is welcome news,
please note that news sources and the Governor’s office note that green status
is not a return to normal.
“In the green
phase, people still have to take precautions like wearing a mask to make sure
that we don’t have new outbreaks,” Governor Wolf said in a statement.
Furthermore, continued telework is strongly encouraged according to the
Governor’s guidelines for green status.
Dansko continues to
take this situation seriously, with the health of our employees and the
business as our primary concern. We do not expect Dansko’s current status
to change significantly with the initial transition of Chester County to green
status. We will continue to monitor this situation and provide updates as
appropriate.
Dansko’s
current campus status is as follows:
•
Dansko distribution center remains open on a limited basis
As
always, your manager will be in touch with you regarding your schedule
•
Dansko Company Store is currently open
New
processes based on CDC guidelines for mask-wearing, social distancing, and
other best practices in place.
•
Dansko offices at 33 Federal remain closed until further notice
Your
manager will work with you regarding any limited exceptions to enter 33 Federal
Work
Schedules
Many of us are
currently working a reduced schedule. The transition from yellow to green
status does not affect work schedules. At this time we cannot provide a
set timetable for getting everyone back to full time, and it will differ from
job to job and department to department. Please work closely with your manager
regarding changes in your business unit’s needs.
As a
reminder, there are four actions you can take, that when used in combination,
can best reduce the spread of COVID-19:
1.
Social distancing,
2.
Use of masks in public and in the workplace;
3.
Good hygiene, especially with frequent hand washing.
4. Testing
as needed.
PLEASE NOTE:
CULTURE is just as critical to success. Please keep your co-workers safe by
thoroughly following these best practices.
The Centers for
Disease Control and the Chester County Health Department guidelines have
identified close contact (an exposure of more than 10 minutes within six
feet of an infected person) as the most substantial risk of becoming
infected with Covid-19. We recognize that this can happen in Jennersville, as
well as in Ocean City, or anywhere regardless of proximity to the office.
Understanding that responsibility falls on all of us, please note the update to
Dansko’s travel policy:
Updated
Travel Policy- effective 06.19.2020:

All Business travel remains suspended

WHEN YOU RETURN from your trip.
Before
returning to work, you will be asked the following:
•
Have you been in close contact (within 6ft for 10 minutes or more) with people
outside of your household?
•
Did you go into a public place without a cloth or medical mask?
•
Have you attended a gathering of more than 25 people?
•
Do you believe you have been exposed to anyone infected currently with COVID-19
while traveling?
If you answer yes
to any of the above, you may not be able to return to the Dansko campus for a
period of time (3-14) DAYS after completing any travel.
Additionally:
If you present any
of the following symptoms, DO NOT REPORT to campus:
•
Cough; or
•
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing; or
•
Fever; or
•
Chills; or
•
Muscle pain; or
•
Sore throat; or
•
New loss of taste or smell
If you have any of
the symptoms above or have a sick family member at home, or are being tested
for COVID-19, let Marc and your Manager know and we will make alternate
arrangements.
Ultimately, we are
counting on all of the Dansko team to take appropriate measures to protect
themselves, their family, and Dansko from COVID-19.
Thank you for your
tenacity and attention to these critical matters.
