As you are aware, two of our fellow employees at the Distribution Center received positive test results for COVID-19 earlier this week. Both employees are currently quarantining at home, and both are doing well as of our recent conversations with them. Additionally, we have two other employees who self-reported that they are being tested and quarantining at home. While waiting for the test results, we are following the same process with these employees as we would for an employee that tests positive.  

 

Dansko has followed the Centers for Disease Control guidelines and received guidance from the Chester County Health Department for best business practices. The key here is identifying employees who may have had close contact with the infected employees. Based on the CDC and CCHD guidelines- close contact is an exposure of more than 10 minutes within six feet of an employee that tested positive. Additionally, we confirmed the individuals were wearing facemasks while at Dansko. Failure to appropriately use masks may increase potential risk.

 

Dansko has:

 

• Interviewed all employees who may have come in close contact with the employees who have

        tested positive (as well as the employees that are awaiting test results)

• Confirmed that there had not been exposure via “close contact” with any other employees;

• Interviewed employees have been encouraged to self-monitor and to not report to work if there

        is any appearance of symptoms.

• Conducted a deep clean of the work area.

 

Based on our contact-tracing follow-up, we do not believe that these cases are related to each other.

We are monitoring the situation, and Dansko continues to follow the CDC and Chester County guidelines for business and the workplace.  

In the meanwhile, there are four actions that you can take, that when used in combination, can best help reduce the spread of the COVID-19:

 

1. Social distancing,

2. Use of masks in public and in the workplace;

3. Testing; and

4. Good hygiene, especially with frequent hand washing.

 

While these do not guarantee you won’t be infected, they are our best tools in the fight against COVID-19. Please continue to exercise these practices both inside and outside of the Dansko Campus.

Dansko is committed to providing a safe workplace and will continue to look to the CDC and the Chester County Health Department for additional or updated guidance.

YOU HAVE A SICK FAMILY MEMBER AT HOME; OR 

HAVE BEEN POTENTIALLY EXPOSED TO COVID-19; OR

HAVE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING SYMPTOMS BELOW

Symptoms

·        Cough; or

·        Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing; or

·        Fever; or

·        Chills; or

·        Muscle pain; or

·        Sore throat; or

·        New loss of taste or smell

 

Please do not report to work, call your supervisor to discuss your situation.
