Dansko Update 6/25/2021
As
a result of the ESOP statement delivery schedule, we will plan small
group/departmental meetings for the week of July 6th. We will send out a survey
in the coming weeks to collect questions for these sessions. Jim will talk
about the 12/31/2020 valuation, provide a business update, and address
questions.
OSHA
Guidelines for Unvaccinated Workers
On
June 10, 2021, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) released
guidelines for employers regarding masking and other Covid-19 mitigation
efforts. OSHA mirrored the CDC in making clear that non-healthcare employers
may safely allow vaccinated workers to
return to normal workplace conditions — leaving behind masks, social
distancing, and other COVID-19 precautions — but unvaccinated
workers must continue to follow all of the CDC’s recommended precautions.
The CDC currently recommends unvaccinated
individuals:
- Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth to help protect
yourself and others.
- Stay 6 feet apart from others who don’t live with you.
- Get
a COVID-19 vaccine when
it is available to you.
- Avoid
crowds and poorly ventilated indoor spaces.
- Wash your hands often with
soap and water. Use hand sanitizer if soap and water aren’t available.
Isn’t
Pennsylvania lifting its masking order? So what does that mean for Dansko?
Governor Wolf previously announced that the
statewide masking order would be lifted when 70% of Pennsylvanian adults are
fully vaccinated or June 28, 2021, whichever occurs first. However, based on
the OSHA guidelines, the Governor’s lifting of the masking order does not change any of the current facilities policies and
procedures for Five Star, the Company Store, or 33 Federal.
All Dansko employees must continue
wearing masks or face covering and maintaining social distancing practices on
campus unless they can provide proof of vaccination. Fully vaccinated employees
in 5 Star Distribution Center or 33 Federal offices who certify vaccination
will not be required to wear a mask or face covering. The vaccination
certification form is available with the HR team.
Return
to 33 Federal Road – PHASE 1 underway
Welcome
back to the members of the Product Development/Sourcing, Marketing, Sales,
select Operations, and select Finance/Credit team members returned to 33
Federal Campus this week. The main entrance of 33 Federal remains locked;
however, scheduled employees will have key card access from Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm
and Friday 7am-4pm.
As
noted previously, Dansko realizes that there is no "one size fits
all" solution with regard to the transition back to 33 Federal. Each
department and functional area may have a different set of requirements and
needs. We recognize this transition will look different for various departments
and individuals.
Additional
changes (PHASE 1.5)
We
expect additional Customer Service employees to be returning to campus on a
regularly scheduled basis starting no earlier than 7/7/2021. The
Customer Service Manager will notify employees in this group regarding their
specific return to campus dates. If you are an employee in this group, your
manager will work with you on your specific schedule.
We
expect additional Customer Service, Wholesale Purchasing, select Finance/Credit,
and IT to be returning to campus on a regularly scheduled basis no earlier than
7/26/2021. Managers will notify employees regarding their return to
campus dates.
The
building will continue to remain locked; however, scheduled employees will have
key card access from Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm and Friday 7am-4pm.
In
all cases, we do not intend to bring anyone back to campus without reasonable
notice. The goal is to provide at least two weeks’ notice prior to
returning to the office on any regular schedule.
PHASE
2- 09/07/2021
This
phase will be when we expect to expand campus access and facility hours.
On-campus schedules for all employees will be developed to have more time on
campus as appropriate.
