Dansko Update 5/6/2021

 

Pennsylvania lifting COVID-19 Mitigation Orders May 31, 2021

Governor Wolf announced Tuesday that all COVID-19 mitigation orders except masking will be lifted on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31. 

The current order requiring Pennsylvanians to wear masks is expected to be lifted when 70% of Pennsylvanians age 18 and older are fully vaccinated.

As of May 5, roughly 51% of Pennsylvanians have received at least one dose of vaccine. Pennsylvania

Department of Health recommends following CDC guidance regarding ongoing COVID-19 safety measures and procedures. 

The CDC currently recommends: 

 

• Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth to help protect yourself and others.
• Stay 6 feet apart from others who don’t live with you.
• Get a COVID-19 vaccine when it is available to you.
• Avoid crowds and poorly ventilated indoor spaces.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water. Use hand sanitizer if soap and water aren’t available.

 

What does this mean for Dansko?

The Governor’s announcement does not change any of the current facilities policies and procedures for Five Star, the Company Store, or 33 Federal.

As outlined last week, we continue to plan for a phased transition to regular office schedules at 33 Federal beginning no earlier than 6/14/2021 for Phase 1 and 7/19/2021 for Phase 2.

We expect to provide an update on the status of this plan by Friday 5/21.  As always, Dansko will continue to monitor guidance from the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the CDC. We recognize that this will continue to be an evolving situation as vaccination rates increase, and hopefully, infection rates decrease. As always, safety is our first and foremost concern.

 

Personal Vaccination Status

Understanding Dansko employees’ vaccination rate is critical in guiding certain business decisions, such as reviewing our campus guidelines and creating a safe work environment. As a reminder, if you have been vaccinated (partially or fully), please contact Brenda Z or Marc and let them know. Prior to Friday 5/14, we will be following up to confirm the vaccination status for all employees.

 

Vaccinations

Dansko strongly encourages employees to get a COVID-19 vaccination. The CDC, Pennsylvania Department of Health, and medical experts note that COVID-19 vaccinations have been shown to be safe and effective at preventing COVID-19 and recommend vaccination to protect yourself and those around you. Ask your doctor if you have specific questions or concerns about the vaccine, or reach out to Brenda Z or Marc if you need to find a doctor.

 

Vaccinations-time away from work

If you need to schedule a vaccination appointment during work hours, please see your manager. Managers will work with employees regarding the time away from work to get vaccinated. Dansko will provide paid time away from work for employees to be vaccinated. Please make your request to your manager as far in advance of your vaccination appointment as possible.
