Dansko Update 5/20

Center for Disease Control and Pennsylvania Department of Health updated guidance for fully vaccinated individuals

Last week the Center for Disease and the Pennsylvania Department of Health provided revised guidelines for mask use for fully vaccinated individuals. The guidance states, "fully vaccinated individuals – two weeks after their final dose -- can resume activities that they did prior to the pandemic without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by law, rule, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance."

Once 70 percent of Pennsylvanians over the age of 18 are fully vaccinated, Pennsylvania anticipates lifting the state-wide masking order. As of May 19, 55% of residents have received at least one dose, and 40% are fully vaccinated.

What does this mean for Dansko?

All Dansko employees must continue to wear a mask or face covering and maintain social distancing practices on campus unless they can provide proof of vaccination.

Fully vaccinated employees in 5 Star Distribution Center or 33 Federal offices, who certify vaccination will not be required to wear a mask or face covering. The vaccination certification form is attached (hard copies of the certification are also available with HR).

Return to 33 Federal Road – PHASE 1 to begin on 06/21/2021

Members of the Product Development/Sourcing, Marketing, Sales, select Operations, and select Finance/Credit team members will be scheduled to work select days and hours on campus. The building will remain locked; however, scheduled employees will have key card access from 7 am-5 pm. If you are an employee in this group, your manager will work with you on your specific schedule.

Employees not scheduled to return to campus in Phase 1 will be scheduled time during this period to access their workspace in preparation for your return.

PHASE 2 –No earlier than 7/26/2021

This phase will be when we expect to expand campus access and working hours.

Departments scheduled to return to campus during phase 2 would include: Credit, Finance, Wholesale Purchasing,  IT, and Customer Service. On-campus schedules for all employees will be expanded to have more time on campus as appropriate.

Please note, while Phase 2 will not begin any earlier than one month following Phase 1, it may be pushed out further than a month once Phase 1 commences.

We do not intend to bring anyone back to the office without reasonable notice. The goal is to provide at least two weeks' notice prior to returning to the office on any regular schedule.

More Information Coming:

Again, there is no "one size fits all" solution to this transition. First and foremost, Dansko has had and will continue to have specific procedures in place to provide a safe working environment, whether in Five Star, the Company Store, or 33 Federal. We continue to depend upon the Pennsylvania Health Department and the CDC for guidance. We also can look to our experiences and learning with onsite work at 10 Five Star Distribution Center, the Company Store, and the individuals we have had scheduled into 33 Federal during our current status. While expectations for returning to the office will vary from department to department, we believe the personal interactions and other benefits from returning to the office will be impactful. As we have more information and make further decisions, we will update as appropriate.

If you have any specific questions, please see your manager, or contact Marc Vettori.
