 Flu Shots

Please note the CDC recommendation that “Getting a flu vaccine is an essential part of protecting your health and your family’s health this season.”

On September 22, 2020, Dansko will be providing flu shots for employees currently working at the Five Star Distribution Center.  A Walgreen’s nurse will be in the DC to administer for those that sign up.

Dansko will not be offering flu shots to those working from home or in the company store. There are several no-cost flu shot options available to you via your primary care physician, CVS, Walgreens, Acme, and other providers.   

If you have any questions regarding the flu shot, we encourage you to contact your primary care physician.

Voice Notes

The voice committee met via ZOOM last week. The notes from that meeting are attached to this email. The notes will also be posted in DC and posted on SharePoint. If you have questions regarding the material covered or general questions , please feel free to reach out to your department’s voice committee member or the HR team.

Business Updates

We plan to have Small Group Meetings in September for Jim to provide an update on the business. We’ll send out a survey ahead of time to collect any questions you may have for Jim.

Travel Policy

The CDC recently updated its travel guidelines, recommending that travelers follow state, territorial, and local requirements for quarantine after travel.  We continue to follow the Dansko Travel Policy (last updated 6/19), including the Pennsylvania Department of Health recommendations for quarantine following out of state travel.

 Pennsylvania Department of Health travel policy (last updated 8/21) continues to advise that if you travel to one of these 17 states, you will need to quarantine for 14 days upon returning to Pennsylvania.

Kansas

Oklahoma

Arkansas

Louisiana

South Carolina

California

Mississippi

Tennessee

Florida

Missouri

Texas

Georgia

Nevada

As far as Dansko’s current travel policy, if you have traveled to one of the states identified by Pennsylvania Department of Health, you will not be permitted on the Dansko Campus for 14 days upon returning to the West Grove area.

Thanks to all of you who participated in the small group meetings and completed the follow-up survey. Below is a response from Jim Fox on some of the survey feedback. I greatly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding regarding this situation. I understand how frustrating and difficult it is to not have clarity regarding a specific date or event that would allow us to return to a normal schedule.
