Reduced Schedule/Work Week FAQ...

Frequently Asked Questions (with Answers)

Reduced schedule/work week currently scheduled from March 13 through May 3, unless extended

Question:   I am now on a reduced schedule, am I eligible to apply for unemployment?
Answer:
Your eligibility for unemployment compensation depends on whether you want to take days when you are not scheduled as unpaid or as PTO.  You can:
1.    Take the unpaid days as PTO (in which case you are ineligible to apply for unemployment)
2.    Take one day as PTO and one day unpaid (in which case you are eligible to apply for one day of unemployment)
3.    Take both days as unpaid (in which case you are eligible to apply for both days as unemployment)
Please work with your manager regarding your decisions regarding the unpaid days and your manager will communicate your decision to HR.

Question:  I am on a reduced schedule- am I still eligible for medical/dental benefits?
Answer:
There has been no change to your eligibility for medical/dental benefits. If you have a specific benefit question, please reach out to someone on the HR team.

Families First Coronavirus Relief Act

Question:  Where can I get more information about the Families First Coronavirus Relief Act (the “FFCRA)?
Answer:
There are posters up in the Distribution Center and at 33 Federal with information about the FFCRA with this information also available online on Sharepoint here.  If you have any additional questions, please reach out to Marc Vettori.

401(k) Plan

Question:  When can I change my 401(k) contribution rate?
Answer:
While we worked to get plans finalized as quickly as possible, we could not do so prior to the April 7th deadline for 401(k) changes.  According to the terms of Dansko’s current 401K Retirement Plan at Transamerica, participants may update their deferral percentage at the beginning of each quarter (1/1, 4/1, 7/1, 10/1).  Participants can elect changes to their deferral percentage by responding to Brenda Zurl (who sends a reminder prior to the beginning of each quarter).  However, we are working closely with Dansko’s third party Plan Administrator to explore options for a potential change to the plan guideline during the Covid-19 pandemic to allow for participants to make a change to their deferral percentage outside current guidelines.  We will update you with more information when available.

Question:  As related to my 401(k), where can I get information about relief under the CARES Act?
Answer:
We have been in contact with Dansko’s third party Plan Administrator and Transamerica regarding the adoption of the 401(k) relief under the CARES Act.  This is being addressed and Transamerica is targeting April 20th to begin adoption of these relief efforts. Communications about the relief will be shared with participants when available– please stay tuned.

If you have any other specific questions, please contact a member of the HR team.
